STATEMENT

Ethiopia`s Intrusion in Somalia is An Act of Aggression

UN Security Council should Order Ethiopia Out or Impose Sanctions

UN should Help Somalia in Maintenance of Peace and Security and Restoration of Governance through National Unity

New Delhi, 26 July, 2006: Shri Syed Shahabuddin, President of the All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat (AIMMM), has issued the following Statement :-

"The All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat (AIMMM) has taken serious note of the invasion of Somalia by Ethiopia which is totally contrary to international law constitutes an act of unjustifiable aggression.

The AIMMM demands that the UN  Security Council order Ethiopia to pull out immediately or face sanctions.

The AIMMM reiterates its call to the UN to intervene effectively for the formation of a representative Government in Somalia and for the restoration of peace."
