Notification
On Results of Elections, 2007 and the Composition of the MMA
In accordance with the Final Report on the AIMMM Elections, 2007 from the Returning Officer dated 24 December, 2007, on expiry of the last date for withdrawal of nomination and in view of his conclusion that since the number of eligible candidates after scrutiny both for the post of President and for the membership of the Markazi Majlis-e-Amla (MMA) were less than the number of vacancies, he has decided that the postal ballot papers need not be circulated and that the candidates listed by him in the Final Report stand elected. He has recommended that the results of the elections may be notified. i. Subsequently, Dr.Zafrul Islam Khan is hereby notified as the President for the term 2008-09.
The President elect shall assume charge of his office on 1 January, 2008.
