AIMMM Denounces Use of Armed Forces & Mercenaries by Gaddafi to Curb Libyan People

Urges International Community, Specially Arab, African & Muslim Countries to Impose Sanctions against Gaddafi.

New Delhi, 23 February 2011, Mr. Syed Shahabuddin, President of All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat has issued the following statement;

The All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat denounces the use of armed force including mercenaries by the Gaddafi regime in Libya in order to suppress the non-violent and peaceful demonstrations for democracy by the people.

            The AIMMM is confident that the Gaddafi strategy of survival behind a civil war will not succeed and the people’s united movement for democracy shall ultimately win.

            The AIMMM urges the UN Security Council to impose sanctions against the Gaddafi regime for launching a war on its people & massively violating their human rights.

            The AIMMM also urges all democratic countries including Arab, Africa & Muslim states to support the libration movement of the Libyan people.
